Background Information
Hidden Friend was created in December 2009 when SFe management viewed a short film based on Transformers on youtube called "Dead Winner" by Dedman. Filming began in late February 2010, two weeks after the New Orleans Saints won the NFL Superbowl. Editing took approximately 8 weeks to complete, and the final release was in the last week of April.
Plot
Hidden Friend is a story based on the common theme of David vs. Goliath. The story begins with Bobby Drake, a local teen who is constantly harassed by the town bully, Fred Sampson. After receiving one too many attacks, Bobby takes his anger out on his car. But to Bobby’s surprise, his car is “More than meets the eye”! The black automobile transforms into a thirty feet tall robot! Realizing the that this robot friend is an ally, Bobby decides to take matters into his own hands…with a little mechanical assistance. Bobby soon confronts the bully and Fred quickly learns what it feels like to be bullied.
